Job Description Summary

Are you someone who has great attention to detail and loves working within a dynamic and diverse team environment? STEMCELL Technologies, Canada’s largest biotechnology company, is looking for a Manufacturing Technologist to support production of our life science research products. In this role, you will work collaboratively with other team members, performing hands-on work, and manufacturing products in an aseptic clean room environment.

As a member of the Manufacturing GMP team, your work is essential to making our high quality research products that drive science forward! This is an excellent position to progress your career in the scientific field by refining your aseptic skills and learning industry documentation practices, while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, set up, and operate production equipment required in the manufacturing of products
  • Follow written batch records and procedures to manufacture assigned products while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) standards
  • Perform duties such as: weighing of raw materials, compounding, formulating, and aseptic processing
  • Adhere to our Quality Management System by maintaining accurate production records and electronic transactions
  • Generate new GMP documents and work with supporting departments on investigations

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferably in the life sciences (i.e. Biochemistry, Chemistry, Cell biology) or equivalent
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a desire to build collaborative relationships with colleagues
  • An adaptable work schedule based on the production needs, with the ability to work on a shift basis as required to meet business demands
  • Ability to lift, arrange and transport objects up to 25-30 lbs
  • Experience with SAP and/or in a regulated (ISO and/or GMP) environment is preferred

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:

$58,500.00 - $79,100.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
