Position overview
Our People team is the internal performance engine of Stay22 driving growth by:
- Attracting and hiring world-class talent
- Accelerating individual and team performance
- Increasing execution speed across the company

Key responsibilities
People Strategy & Organizational Design
- Partner with leadership to design a future-proof organizational structure that aligns with company strategy
- Lead headcount planning, role clarity, and talent mapping processes
- Build out the people function team to be our internal engine
Talent Acquisition & Density
- Oversee hiring from pipeline to offer: we want A-players only
- Help elevate our employer brand to attract the best in the market
- Scale hiring systems that ensure efficiency and quality-of-hire
Culture as a Competitive Advantage
- Codify and operationalize our 3 values into daily behaviours
- Lead initiatives that drive connection and recognition
- Help great people feel deeply supported and seen — while pushing for high standards
People Infrastructure & Compliance (Without Bureaucracy)
- Implement simple, scalable tools and workflows
- Maintain compliance with employment laws (QC, US as needed)
- Manage compensation, benefits, and rewards in ways that align with performance
Requirements
- 10 years of progressive People Ops leadership in fast-growing startups or tech
- Proven ability to build and scale People functions in organizations (we’re looking for someone who has seen growth from ~50–200 employees)
- Strong systems thinker: you bring structure, clarity, and data to ambiguous challenges
- Builder’s mindset: resourceful, proactive, and energized by zero-to-one problems
- Deep understanding of employee lifecycle and compliance
- A clear, confident communicator and high-integrity partner to leadership
- Bonus if you have legal experience evaluating contracts
