About the role
We are hiring for a relief (temporary) part time (0.49fte) Certified Orthotist at the Kelowna General Hospital. This position is expected to run until the return of the current incumbent. This position covers acute care and outpatients. Shift times are 08:00-16:00 on a rotating schedule of week 1: Monday, Thursday, and Friday and week 2: Monday and Friday.

About The Position This position designs and fits orthoses to enable clients to function better and improve their quality of life. Duties include receiving referrals, assessing clients’ needs, designing and/or selecting appropriate orthoses, fitting and adjusting orthoses, examining and evaluating existing orthoses and making recommendations for repair/replacement. The Orthotist consults with interdisciplinary team members, other health care providers and suppliers, promotes orthotic services, and maintains knowledge of current trends and new technology in the field of orthotics.
