Overview
Our client, a well-established and high-profile North American organization, is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Software Developer to contribute to the development of mission-critical digital products. This is a remote-first opportunity open to candidates in Canada or the US, working Eastern Time (EST) hours.
This role can be structured as either a contract or permanent position, starting with an initial 6-month term and strong potential for extension or long-term engageme
nt.You will be part of a high-caliber development team, working on enterprise-level applications and services with a modern tech stack including React, TypeScript, Java, and AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, and Java
- Build scalable, cloud-native services using AWS (Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, IAM)
- Design and implement responsive user interfaces with HTML/CSS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, maintainable software
- Write and optimize queries for both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Refactor and enhance legacy systems for performance and scalability
- Participate in code reviews, architectural decisions, and production deployments
- Communicate effectively with global team members and stakeholders
- Provide guidance to junior developers and support alignment with best practices
Must-Have Qualifications
- 6+ years of TypeScript development
- 4+ years of React experience
- 3+ years of Java backend development
- Proven experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS,IAM)
- Solid knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modern front-end techniques
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and software architecture principles
- Experience with configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience working directly with clients or stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Experience with serverless or microservices architectures
- Familiarity with design patterns and clean architecture principles
- Exposure to mobile integration or responsive web application development
