Summary
To assist in coordinating the behavior programs for at risk students as directed by district behavior specialist and school teams. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Implement behavior intervention plans; observe and chart individual student behavior; provide positive behavior support; provide instruction to students on how to mediate their own conflicts; teach students self-monitoring skills; teach prosocial skills lessons; provide cues and prompts to students to use anger control strategies

Applications must be submitted no later than Wednesday July 8, 2026 Special Education (BCIS) // Eagle Bay Elementary 5.9 hours per day / 174 days per year / Salary Grade 8 - $22.03 per hour (Support Salary Table 2026-2027) [Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase] GENERAL FUNCTION: To assist in coordinating the behavior programs for at-risk students as directed by district behavior specialist and school teams. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Implement behavior intervention plans; observe and chart individual student behavior; provide positive behavior support; provide instruction to students on how to mediate their own conflicts; teach students self-monitoring skills; teach prosocial skills lessons; provide cues and prompts to students to use anger control strategies. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. High School diploma or equivalent education and/or experience. 2. District inservice training (required after hiring). 3. Basic knowledge of academic subjects. 4. Substituting or equivalent experience preferred. 5. The specific skills required of the assistant depend upon the assignment, the student's needs and IEP, and upon the established procedures of the supervising professional.) 6. Position may involve physical assisting and heavy lifting. The following is required for TITLE ONE SCHOOLS: 7. The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; or an associate's degree; or the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test will be required in the future.
