About the role

Taleo is looking for a Senior Maximo Data / Functional Analyst to support an EAM Readiness Project for one of our clients. This role will help prepare the organization for the implementation of IBM Maximo Application Suite as its Enterprise Asset Management platform. The successful candidate will support the foundational asset data, process, integration, and reporting activities required for a successful Maximo implementation within a transmission utility environment. This role requires deep Maximo experience, strong functional and data analysis capabilities, and the ability to work closely with business, technology, project, and vendor stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead and support analysis related to Maximo asset data models, location hierarchies, asset structures, classifications, attributes, and data standards. Work with business SMEs, technology teams, and project resources to define Critical Data Elements, KPIs, reporting requirements, source-of-record expectations, and future-state data requirements. Analyze current asset and work management processes, identify gaps, and recommend practical Maximo-aligned improvements. Develop functional design specifications, business process documentation, data standards, naming conventions, and related project deliverables. Support data migration readiness, including data mapping, ETL templates, validation criteria, data quality rules, cleansing, and enrichment planning. Provide functional expertise across Maximo Application Suite, Transmission and Distribution, Spatial and GIS integration, linear assets, reporting, and analytics. Assess and document integration requirements involving SAP, GIS/ESRI, PI, SCADA, PowerBase, ProjectWise, and other retained systems. Support test planning and UAT readiness by contributing to test scenarios, test cases, data validation approaches, and issue analysis. Facilitate and participate in workshops, document outcomes, manage follow-up items, and translate business requirements into clear functional and data deliverables. Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, data architects, integration resources, business SMEs, and vendors to support EAM readiness outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience working with Maximo and Enterprise Asset Management solutions, including multiple Maximo implementations. Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Strong functional and data analysis experience within complex enterprise environments. Hands-on experience with asset data models, asset and location hierarchies, classifications, attributes, linear assets, naming conventions, and asset master data. Experience defining Critical Data Elements, KPIs, reporting requirements, data quality rules, validation criteria, and source-of-record expectations. Experience supporting data profiling, mapping, ETL templates, data cleansing, rationalization, transformation, and validation. Strong knowledge of Maximo Application Suite. Experience with Maximo Transmission and Distribution, Maximo Spatial, Maximo BIRT, Maximo Oil and Gas, or related industry solutions is highly desirable. Experience integrating Maximo with ERP platforms, preferably SAP. Knowledge of SAP Project System, Plant Maintenance, Procurement, or related modules is considered an asset. Experience with GIS/ESRI, PI, SCADA, PowerBase, ProjectWise, or similar asset-intensive systems is an asset. Previous experience within utilities, electric transmission, regulated, or asset-intensive environments is highly preferred. Experience supporting reporting and analytics activities, including KPI design, Maximo reporting, data validation, or Power BI, is an asset. Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment within a complex project environment.
