Rockstar is recruiting for an AI-native operating system for wealth management, purpose-built for independent RIA firms. This client provides advisors with a unified platform for client relationships, custodial data, and financial planning, powered by an agentic AI layer that delivers personalized advice at scale. The company is pre-Series A, integrated with Apex Fintech Solutions (AscendOS), and moving fast.

THE ROLE

The client is looking for a senior engineer who can own complex technical projects end-to-end, from architecture through delivery. The candidate will partner closely with an existing tech lead, design and build across the full stack, and drive technical decisions with minimal oversight in a distributed, async-first environment.

This is a hands-on role. The engineer will spend most of their time writing code and designing systems, not managing people. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and does not wait to be unblocked.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Core product features across the advisor and investor portal experiences

• Financial data integrations: Apex AscendOS, Plaid, Stripe, and future custodial partners

• Serverless backend services across a distributed Lambda and PostgreSQL environment

• Agentic AI financial planning layer: architecture, reliability, and LLM integration patterns

• CI/CD pipeline standardization across 28+ repositories, co-owned with the existing tech lead

• Code quality, observability, security hygiene, and release discipline across the stack

REQUIREMENTS

• 10 to 15 years of full-stack engineering at production quality

• Expert Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, async patterns); strong TypeScript and React

• Deep AWS serverless experience: Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CDK, Cognito

• Background in wealthtech, fintech, or regulated financial services is required

• Experience defining and standardizing CI/CD pipelines across multiple repositories

• SOC 2 Type II or equivalent compliance-adjacent experience

• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, or agentic AI frameworks is a strong plus

• Strong async written communication; comfortable leading across a globally distributed offshore team

COMPENSATION

• Location: Remote (US)

• Salary: $150,000 to $200,000 USD, commensurate with experience

• Equity: Meaningful early-stage equity package
