Location: Windsor, Ontario

Electromac Tool, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Student Contract Janitor/Landscape in our Windsor tooling and stamping facility. The Janitor/Landscaper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the inside and outside of the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior janitorial and landscape experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

• Under general supervision, performs routine and preventive maintenance cleaning duties

• Cleans washrooms, changes garbage cans, mops, and sweeps the floor

• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas

• Collects and disposes garbage/waste to the proper disposal bins

• Complete non-routine/emergency cleaning for aisle, facility, and press clean-ups

• Mow lawns, trim hedges, and maintain outdoor areas.

• Remove weeds, debris, and litter from parking lots, walkways, and grounds.

• Maintain and repair outdoor structures, such as benches and fences.

• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.

• Maintains a safe and clean work area

• Maintains the cleanliness on the outside of the facility (parking lot, windows, etc.)

• Maintains the employee walkways during winter season (snow shoveling and salting)

• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial or landscape experience

• Ability to operate cleaning and landscaping equipment safely

• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

The pay range for this role is $19.00/hour to $25.00/hour.
