About the role

About Us

At BeWell Health Centres we’re reimagining how care is delivered in Ontario — comprehensive, committed, and connected.

We believe in treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis. Our interdisciplinary team includes psychotherapists, social workers, psychiatrists, and psychologists working collaboratively to provide evidence-informed, deeply human care.

Here, you’ll find the resources and support to do your best work — and the freedom to shape your clinical practice in a way that feels authentic to you.

We’re growing — thoughtfully — and looking for clinicians who bring expertise, curiosity, and genuine care to their work.

Who You Are & What You'll Do

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Clinical Psychology - Child & Youth Programs to help shape, lead and elevate our current program.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role that blends clinical excellence, mentorship, and program development - while continuing to maintain meaningful client work.

The Opportunity

As the Director of Clinical Psychology - Child & Youth Programs, you will play a central role in building and strengthening our clinical programming for child and youth populations, across our 3 locations: Toronto, Mississauga and Hamilton.

You will lead a talented and growing team of clinicians, support high-quality care delivery, and help scale a program designed for both impact and sustainability. You will initially oversee a team of child and youth therapists and tasked to continue to grow the team over time.

This role is designed for a clinician who is ready for the next level - someone who has developed strong clinical judgment and supervisory confidence and is now looking to broaden their impact.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide informal consultation and clinical guidance to fully registered clinicians
  • Offer formal supervision to qualifying therapists and students as needed
  • Support clinical decision-making, case conceptualization, and best practices across the team
  • Foster a culture of thoughtful, ethical, and high-quality care

Program Development & Growth

  • Help shape and expand BeWell’s Child & Youth mental health programs
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings and clinical pathways
  • Contribute to building a cohesive, high-performing clinical culture

Team Building, Recruitment & Retention

  • Lead recruitment efforts to grow a high-caliber team of clinicians

  • Support onboarding, integration, and ongoing engagement of team members

  • Play a key role in retention strategies and team satisfaction

Clinical Practice

  • Maintain an active caseload (approximately 70% initially)

  • Deliver high-quality psychological services aligned with BeWell’s standards of care

Operational & Strategic Contribution

  • Collaborate with leadership on scaling the program responsibly

  • Help establish systems that support both clinical excellence and business sustainability

  • Gradually take on increased responsibility in program operations and leadership

What You Bring

  • A Registered Psychologist in good standing

  • Someone who has been in practice for a number of years and feels clinically confident and grounded

  • Experience providing supervision or informal mentorship, with comfort offering clinical oversight

  • Operational experience is not required - we are happy to support development in this area

  • That said, exposure to program operations, team coordination or systems thinking is an asset

  • Someone who feels ready to step into a broader leadership role and grow into it over time

  • A balance of warmth, accountability and clinical rigor, with the ability to offer clear, meaningful feedback

Why Join BeWell?

  • Be part of a high-growth, thoughtfully built clinical environment

  • Shape and lead programs at a pivotal stage of expansion

  • Work alongside a team that values excellence, collaboration, and depth of care

  • Maintain a strong clinical identity while stepping into leadership

  • A clear growth trajectory into a more senior leadership role

  • A workplace culture that is both professional, ambitious, and energizing

Role: This is a full-time position with requirements for hybrid availability in-person and online.
