About the role
A Day in the Life:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor this position is responsible for control room operations, quality control testing, boilers and equipment operation, oil loading and unloading. The Operator will rotate through various plant positions, Boilers, Bleaching, Deodorization, Lab, and Loading.
Position Details:
- The schedule is 12 hours per day, on a rotating shift schedule.
- The starting hourly rate is 38.81
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain knowledge of all departmental safety standards, policies, and procedures. Additionally, the position requires that operators promote, encourage, and enforce the safety compliance by all Bunge personnel and contractor personnel working in the department
- Monitor plant equipment condition and flows
- Put equipment in or out of service as required for production or maintenance
- Prepare equipment for maintenance as required
- Load and unload railcars and trucks as required
- Wash production areas as directed and scheduled each shift
- Monitor boiler room and tower chemical inventories
- Monitor cooling tower and boiler equipment
- Complete all duties as per weekly and monthly schedules
- Write work orders as required
- Perform operational readings once per shift
- De-ice cooling tower as required
- Additional duties as required
Skill/Experience Requirements:
- 4th Class Power Engineering certification required
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of PC applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work safely individually and as part of a team
