Manager,
Land Servicing

!
The Manager, Land Servicing oversees design and engineering functions within EDTI, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of projects and programs. This role manages stakeholder coordination, quality assurance, and compliance with codes and standards. Key responsibilities include meeting health & safety, environmental, operational, reliability, and customer requirements, and ensuring successful energization of new or upgraded power services.
What you’d be responsible for

Lead the delivery of land servicing projects, ensuring alignment with customer and operational requirements

Build and lead a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, performance metrics, and employee development
-
Oversee technical standards, including EPCOR’s Customer Connection Guide (Volume 7)
-
Ensure compliance with APEGA guidelines and EPCOR’s Professional Practice Management Plan
-
Develop and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
-
Oversee Land Servicing’s role in addressing customer inquiries, ensuring responses are accurate, complete, and delivered in a timely manner

Collaborate with internal teams, developers, and industry partners (e.g., ECAA,
BiLD
)
-
Manage budgets and resources to support engineering excellence and reliability
What’s required to be successful
- Degree in Engineering or a Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institute
- Registered or eligible to be registered with APEGA

Candidates with an
Engineering degree
must be registered as a
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
-
Candidates with a
diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering
must hold a
Professional Licensee (
P.L.
Eng.)
designation, with the authority to review, approve, and stamp designs for electrical distribution systems and/or civil utility construction
-
- 10+ years of experience in aerial and underground electrical distribution systems, including design and construction
- Strong knowledge of CSA standards, Alberta Electrical Utility Code, and EPCOR’s technical guidelines
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex distribution utility projects, including on-site engineering and construction
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage large-scale initiatives, with strong communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly
- Advanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing innovative solutions in undefined or evolving environments
- Demonstrated ability to work within dynamic environments, building strong internal and external relationships
- Proven experience managing complex budgets and executing capital plans with strategic oversight
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and influencing skills, with a focus on continuous improvement in technical and operational effectiveness
