About The Opportunity Our nationally recognized client located in Downtown Ottawa is looking for a Bilingual Director of Finance & Administration to join their established organization on a full-time, permanent basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordination and preparation of budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain planning and control procedures and analyze report variances
- Financial reporting and production of financial statements- prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports while ensuring accuracy
- Management of General Ledger and related accounting duties
- Preparing Month and Year End closing, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation
- Oversee processing of payroll, remittances, union dues, & WSIB
- Submission of tax remittances
- Liaising with auditors, take an active role in internal and external Audit, providing required reporting
- Provide representation and work directly with the union on all matters
- Work closely with the Board of Directors, providing insight on financial matters
- Ensuring compliance as well as implementation of process improvements, monitoring for accurate and successful execution
- Oversee and provide support to accounting and administration team
- Participate in other active projects and ad hoc reporting as needed
- Provide contributions and recommendations regarding financial and operational aspects of the organization, communicating with Senior Management on strategic initiatives
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- Fluently Bilingual in both official languages (English, French)
- CPA Designation - Active in Good Standing
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance in a Senior role
- 3+ years of previous leadership experience of a team of 4+ staff
- Previous experience with Unionized environments a strong asset
- Advanced level Microsoft Excel
- Strong oral, written, and communication skills (English, French)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
About the Job The salary band for this role is $110,000 to $125,000 depending on relevant previous experience.
