Supply Chain Production Planner
About the role
Job Description BioVectra Inc. has an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Production Planner. This is full-time permanent position located in Windsor, NS. The candidate will be responsible for:
- Analyzing production schedules, forecasting and planning material needs, and managing inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Building and maintaining detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for production processes within the ERP system.
- Chairing weekly supply chain meetings to align production schedule with sales, manufacturing, Procurement, Project Management, and QC departments, etc.
- Confirming and verifying manufacturing schedule to plan material requirements.
- Publishing forecasts for procurement to plan orders and coordinate required deliveries.
- Creating and submitting requisitions to the procurement department for required materials.
- Monitoring the process from order initiation to release, ensuring timely material availability to support on-schedule manufacturing.
- Optimizing inventory levels to balance cost efficiency with meeting service requirements, while ensuring strict adherence to on-time manufacturing schedules.
- Identifying material shortages based on updated lead times from Procurement.
- Tracking and reporting actual consumption vs planned consumption.
- Identifying and recommending solutions to resolve material constraints.
- Creating jobs in the ERP system and coordinating with warehouse team for staging to align with manufacturing schedule.
- Ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements, such as new materials and management of change processes.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Science, Supply Chain, or other related fields.
- Post Secondary Diploma with equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years' experience as a Production Planner
- Experience in biopharma or CDMO preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cGMP guidelines is an asset.
Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule.
The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $55,687.00 - $87,011.00/yr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
