Your Impact:
A Quality Assurance role at OpenText is not just a job; it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. As a key leader, you'll be instrumental in managing a team constructing cutting-edge Information Management Solutions that contribute to sustainable supply chains, support refugees, and enhance medical information access to save lives. You will engage in solving meaningful challenges in an agile environment, gaining exposure to advanced technologies beyond individual access. You will be encouraged to cultivate an engineering mindset, driving the creation of innovative software solutions that address real-world problems and shape the future.

What the role offers:
As a Senior QA Developer, you will:

  • First three months:
  • Gain basic understanding of CRSB product suite.
  • Learn the team’s automation environment, tools, and processes.
  • Learn how to use existing test automation, review the scheduled runs and participate in root cause analysis for failures.
  • Implement simple fixes for failed tests to increase the coverage.
  • Design/code review the work of peer engineers.
  • Three to nine months:
  • Design and develop several suites of automated tests.
  • Contribute to ongoing test automation improvement efforts.
  • Contribute to conception of a next generation automation solution.
  • Beyond nine months
  • Improve our test automation.
  • Contribute to a company-wide automation solution focused on modularity, commonality, robustness, reporting, and efficiency.

What you need to Succeed:

  • Strong test automation experience with solid software development skills in object-oriented programming (C#, Java, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with RESTful/API automation, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and modern Windows environments.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL) and tools like Jenkins, Visual Studio, TestLink, Git, MS Office.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with a proactive mindset and rapid learning capability.
  • Strong communication skills with the courage to ask questions, share ideas, and collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, efficiently, and under guidance while contributing to team growth.
  • Passion for automation engineering and a curious, growth-oriented attitude toward emerging technologies and practices.
