About the role

The Samsung Sr. Manager, CE Channel Marketing R.Com will be the dedicated marketing lead for all retail/channel online channels for all product categories for the CE divisions (HE, DA, EBD B2C), and is responsible for leading strategy, development, and executing Samsung’s key launch activities, product placement, marketing strategies/programs, online reviews and content, and management of partner online brand stores (Retailer.com) for top strategic National Retail accounts.

You will use your expertise to lead on content management and merchandising across retailer websites to help boost Samsung’s brand presence and revenue. This includes the support of digital marketing across retailer channels with a key focus on top strategic National Retail Accounts.

You will be a liaison between Sales, brand marketing, PMs, and must collaborate on product related activities, over the full life cycle of the product. The incumbent is also responsible for data mining, analysis, presentations, and report creation for business indicators that facilitate the decision-making process and strategy development for every CE product category and overall company goal related to online business.

The Sr. Manager, CE Channel Marketing R.Com will develop successful marketing plans & launch new digital programs in collaboration with key stakeholders across commercial, brand/product marketing, digital marketing and legal teams, providing strategic counsel to key internal stakeholders including senior Business leaders, customer and external partners and Global/NAHQ as it relates online marketing activities. They will also work closely with Samsung’s key agencies of record and external partners to bring these plans to life.

  • Initiate, develop, coordinate, and implement strategic product marketing plans and programs for Retail accounts including:

o business development programs,

o marketing strategies,

o marketing support,

o advertising programs,

o product launch and promotions,

o branding programs,

o business processes and procedures, and

o Product transition strategies.

Online Brand Store: Retailer.Com

  • Lead and support the team across online brand shop functions for retailer sites including merchandising and content syndication, where to buy, and content delivery across partners.
  • Deliver and, in some cases, creating online assets in collaboration with Brand Marketing for online brand shops, and running promotions on Retailer.com
  • Manage online content syndication to retailer.com sites, working with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Lead and support the team across planning and execution of digital marketing activities for retailer.com to improve conversion.
  • Ensure that all the product assets, product information, online reviews, website syndication, images & pricing are updated and accurate on Retailer.com. This includes ensuring that all strategic product focus areas are front and center and included in strategic dealer online activations.
  • Work with retail partners and Key Account Managers, ensuring that the launch of new products are well represented on all relevant websites and digital marketing activities making sure that all information required is available at time of product launch.
  • Analyze and provide deep analytics on r.com performance and develop plans to improve site engagement and improve conversion, including SEO performance, traffic analysis, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with internal/external partners to support the strategy and lead execution of paid media campaigns including the development of measurement goals, data capture requirements, and media ROI/performance.
  • Support the investment plan and ROI development across each function.

Retailer MDF Support

  • Lead digital marketing strategies by supporting the Sales team to build out MDF plan and execute on the sales & marketing plan and maximize the online presence with strategic dealers.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize paid digital campaigns across multiple channels, including search, social, and display ensuring successful planning and optimization for key traffic KPIs via paid, organic, and own media channels.
  • Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Analyze and report on KPIs, providing insights to inform strategic adjustments. This may include websites, email marketing and marketing automation, social media, analytics, and reporting, SEO/PPC, CRM campaign support.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing teams and digital marketing experts to ensure plans developed are integrated and aligned to best practice principles from both a brand and performance marketing perspective across online activities for retailer efforts.
  • Communicate with customers (Internal / external incl. NSM preparations, trade shows, maintain exceptional partner relationships, etc.).
  • Lead all Dealer Events on behalf of the CE Marketing team: coordinate products, booth layout, booth content (Brick Manager’s Conference, PG Vendor Fair, etc.).
  • Lead all in-store merchandising and POP to ensure marketing message consistency across all channels.

General Marketing Operations Support

  • Coordinates system submission and approvals (legal, marketing, finance, sample management) for marketing initiatives to support on time execution of marketing programs. This includes following up with key business stakeholders to ensure that approvals are taking place on time and escalating if they are not.

  • Legal approvals include AD-LCP, and ECMS management.

  • Marketing Finance initiatives include Plan Proposal submissions, Execution orders, Payment Requests, PUMI submissions, and FOC orders.

  • Sample Management includes warehouse management and sample portal requests.

  • This will be an in-office position.

  • You are a data-focused and analytically minded professional, proficient in facilitating the development and execution of strategies and plans.

  • You will have an expert understanding of how to positively impact the brand’s online reputation, with a keen focus on Retailer websites with the goal of increasing customer satisfaction, loyalty and driving repeat purchases.

  • Be able to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with marketing and retail teams to understand business objectives to ensure that content and campaigns are efficiently integrated.

  • Capacity to effectively manage project timelines and budgets aligned to strategic marketing and brand objectives.
