Job Description
PRT is seeking a Full-Time Network and Systems Administrator based in the Greater Toronto Area. You'll play a critical role in building and maintaining a robust and secure network and systems infrastructure for PRT, ensuring seamless operation for our 30+ sites across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a company with a shared passion for environmental stewardship.
What You'll Do
- Manage hybrid Active Directory/Entra ID and migrate the remaining servers and applications to the cloud.
- Deploy, configure, update, and troubleshoot a wide variety of on-premise and cloud-based systems, including Windows Servers, VDI, Microsoft 365 and other local and cloud-based software.
- Set up and maintain firewalls, switches, and access points and manage the VOIP phone system.
- Support the helpdesk with advanced remote troubleshooting for Canadian and US nursery locations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external IT providers to ensure a highly functional and secure infrastructure.
- Provide in-person desktop support to the Toronto office when required
- Travel to various Canadian and US nursery locations as needed, with scheduled on-call availability for up to 14 days a month.
WORK STATUS: Full-time, Salaried
Location:Hybrid, in-office 3 days/week at Matheson Blvd, Mississauga, Ontario, near the airport.
Qualifications
What YOU bring to the table
You're a service-driven, highly proficient and experienced IT professional with a minimum of five years of experience supporting IT and providing high-level customer service.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Microsoft and Network certifications (MCSE/Azure Administrator, Cisco/Fortinet, or equivalent).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and the entire Microsoft 365 suite.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of various hardware and operating systems (Server 2022, Windows 10/11, iOS, Android).
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel.
- A professional communicator who can provide training and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic cloud environment.
Working Conditions:

Scheduling and completion of work outside of regular office hours is occasionally required
-
Scheduled on-call availability for up to 14 days a month
-
Most work hours will be spent indoors in an office environment. However, the person in this role will be expected and able to travel occasionally to our Canadian and US nursery locations

Occasional driving to sites is required

Participate in other nursery and other non-IT related tasks when called upon
