Job Description
At Stock Food & Drink, our Baristas are the artists behind every perfectly poured espresso and handcrafted
beverage. Open 24 hours a day, Stock offers an elevated gourmet experience where guests can
indulge at any hour, and our Baristas ensure each visit is memorable through warm, attentive service and
impeccable presentation.
From skillfully preparing specialty coffees to assisting with food service, maintaining polished tables, and
anticipating guest needs, you will bring energy, precision, and care to every shift. You’ll also have the
opportunity to support operations across a variety of venues, with shifts available at the Pool Bar, Sugar
Shack, and 13 Below, contributing to the exceptional service that defines the Fairmont Banff Springs.
Starting Rate: $18.75 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $20.12
For this position we have both seasonal and full-time permanent positions, this will be discussed in the interview. Seasonal position starts as soon as possible until end of October. Full-Time Permanent position starts as soon as possible.
Job Duties Include
Discuss food and beverage items, make suggestions and answer any guest inquiries
Take guest orders accurately and process purchases using the POS system Operate coffee making equipment and present beverages according to recipe and presentation standards Have full knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods Maintain accurate billing, cash handling and float procedures

Must have Pro-Serve Certification
Previous barista or food and beverage experience in a high-volume and fast paced environment required Previous point-of-sale system experience required Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays Must be able to lift and carry 30+ lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more
Additional Information
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
