Description Du Poste En tant que spécialiste en contrôle sur le terrain, vous jouerez un rôle technique clé en intervenant directement sur site pour assurer la maintenance préventive, les réparations, l’installation et la mise en service des systèmes de contrôle automatisés des bâtiments. Sous supervision générale, vous contribuerez activement à la satisfaction client grâce à votre expertise, votre professionnalisme et vos aptitudes en résolution de problèmes.

Vous collaborerez avec des spécialistes expérimentés, des chargés de projet, des ingénieurs et des concepteurs lors des tests fonctionnels et de la validation des systèmes, ce qui vous permettra d’élargir vos connaissances. Une bonne compréhension des principes fondamentaux des systèmes de contrôle des bâtiments est indispensable, ainsi qu’une volonté d’apprentissage continu face à l’évolution des produits et des technologies.

Des compétences solides en documentation sont requises : nous comptons sur des rapports clairs et complets de vos interventions et recommandations pour maintenir nos standards élevés.

Responsabilités principales

• Intervenir dans la région du Grand Montréal et ses environs.
• Installer, diagnostiquer et optimiser les systèmes clients utilisant la technologie avancée de contrôle numérique direct (DDC).
• Collaborer avec les clients et les équipes projet pour comprendre les besoins et résoudre les problèmes techniques.
• Proposer des solutions efficaces à des problématiques complexes.
• Assurer la livraison complète de projets de taille moyenne à grande.
• Vérifier le bon fonctionnement des systèmes, y compris les contrôles, capteurs et logiciels.
• Charger les logiciels, configurer les tendances, alarmes et rapports.
• Gérer efficacement son temps pour garantir la satisfaction client.
• Communiquer et documenter l’état et les détails du projet pour le client.
• Former les propriétaires/opérateurs sur le système installé.
• Respecter les normes de sécurité avec une attention particulière à la sécurité des employés et sous-traitants.
• Se tenir informé des tendances du secteur et des nouvelles technologies en automatisation des bâtiments.

Qualifications Requises

• Diplôme collégial ou certificat technique en l’une des options suivantes : automatisation des bâtiments / automatisation / électricité / électromécanique / ou ingénierie.
• 1+ an d’expérience avec les systèmes d’automatisation des bâtiments.
• Communication fluide en français (oral et écrit) et niveau fonctionnel en anglais.
• Permis de conduire valide et assurable par l’entreprise.
• Capacité à utiliser des échelles ou équipements de levage à plus de 2,5 mètres du sol et à soulever jusqu’à 23 kg.

Qualifications Souhaitées (atouts)

• Maîtrise des logiciels d’automatisation avancés comme WebCTRL®. (atout)
• Capacité à naviguer et intégrer divers systèmes d’automatisation.
• Expérience avec les réseaux TCP/IP et les technologies sans fil.
• Aptitude à gérer simultanément plusieurs défis techniques multidisciplinaires.
• Capacité à vulgariser des informations techniques pour un public non technique.
• Excellentes compétences en communication et esprit d’équipe.
• Maîtrise des applications Microsoft 365.

As a Field Controls Specialist , you’ll take charge of preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and commissioning of building automation control systems, all under general supervision. Your mission? Deliver top-tier customer satisfaction through direct, onsite interactions that showcase your problem-solving skills and professionalism.

You’ll have opportunities to assist more senior specialists, project managers, engineers, and designers during functional testing and system validation, expanding your knowledge and experience along the way. To thrive in this role, you must understand the foundational principles of Building Control systems and be driven to continuously learn as new products and strategies hit the market and are released for sale.

Strong documentation skills are a must—we rely on clear, thorough records of your daily work and professional recommendations to keep our standards high and our operations running smoothly.

Field Controls Specialists at Automated Logic are centered on supporting the deployment and maintenance of building automation systems that optimize energy efficiency, comfort, and operational performance in commercial and industrial buildings using platforms like WebCTRL ®. Technicians can also transition into roles such as Project Manager, System Designer, or Technical Trainer.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate across the Greater Montreal area, and surrounding regions.
• Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
• Collaborate with clients and project team to understand system requirements and serve as local contact for technical issues.
• Offer effective solutions for complex system issues.
• Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects.
• Responsible for ensuring that systems operate properly, to include controls, sensors, and software.
• Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
• Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer.
• Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.
• Adheres to safety standards. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in building automation.

Basic Qualifications

• College Diploma or Technical Certificate in one of the following: BAS (Building Automation systems) / Automation / Electrical / Electro-Mechanical / Engineering.
• 1+ year experience with Building Automation Systems.
• Fluent communication (verbal and written) in French, and functional communication level in English.
• Valid and current Driver’s License and can be insurable by the company’s insurance due to the mobile nature of the job.
• Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have) Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Proficient with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL®, and installing building automation controls. (nice to have)
• Ability to navigate and integrate into a variety of building automation systems.
• Experience with TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
• Experience interacting with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines.
• Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
