Are you passionate about operational communications and ensuring reliable voice connectivity across industrial environments? Join our Field Systems team as a Voice Radio Network Analyst and play a key role in supporting Suncor’s enterprise-wide two-way radio infrastructure and network performance.
As a Voice Radio Network Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, performance monitoring, and vendor coordination for Suncor’s two-way radio systems. This includes provisioning and programming user radios and dispatch consoles, managing contracts with regulatory bodies and vendors, and ensuring seamless radio service across multiple sites. You will collaborate with project teams, field technicians, and business units to maintain high service availability and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in radio communications, network operations, or field systems support.
- Familiarity with P25 and MotoTRBO radio systems.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Experience with vendor and contract management.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple teams.
- Background in emergency communications or dispatch systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze the performance of the voice radio network (P25, MotoTRBO).
- Provision and program user radios and dispatch consoles.
- Track and manage two-way radio inventory across Suncor sites.
- Create and manage purchase orders and ensure fulfillment.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between sites as needed.
- Manage contracts with vendors, ISED, and FCC.
- Respond to incidents and performance issues in the P25 system.
- Participate in site inspections and accept deliverables from project teams.
- Support maintenance scheduling and software updates for radio equipment.
- Experience in industrial or operational technology (OT) environments is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. radio frequency regulations (ISED, FCC) is preferred
Location and other Key details
- You will be working at our Syncrude Mildred Lake site, Fort McMurray Alberta
- Standard business hours with occasional on-call or after-hours support during major deployments or outages.
