Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS Snowflake Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale cloud data solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Snowflake, AWS, and modern data engineering technologies, with a strong background in architecting scalable data platforms and leading cloud migration initiatives. Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services domain is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable enterprise data architectures using Snowflake on AWS. Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, and dbt. Develop modern Lakehouse solutions using Medallion Architecture. Lead migration of enterprise data platforms from Cloudera and other legacy systems to Snowflake. Design robust data models, transformation frameworks, and high-performance data pipelines. Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency. Develop data products and Streamlit applications leveraging Snowflake ML/AI capabilities. Implement data governance, metadata management, and data quality best practices using tools such as Collibra and Informatica. Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver enterprise data solutions. Document architecture, data flows, standards, and technical designs.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Data Engineering. Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake on AWS. Experience with AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, and dbt. Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, ETL/ELT, and data modeling. Experience implementing Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture. Proven experience migrating data platforms from Cloudera or similar legacy environments to Snowflake. Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks. Experience with AWS cloud services including S3, IAM, Lambda, ECS, and related services. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry. SnowPro Advanced Certification. Experience with Informatica (IDMC, PowerCenter, BDM) and AWS Redshift. Exposure to Streamlit, Snowpark, Snowflake ML, or LLM-based data solutions. Experience with policy or legacy data conversion and enterprise modernization initiatives.
