Description Inside Sales Representative Role Description The Inside Sales Representative (ISR), KPP Team, is responsible for the over-the-phone sales and service process on behalf of stores. This involves following best practices in conjunction with stores and internal operations, ensuring prompt customer service and driving sales growth. The focus target customer group for this team is small fleet operators and owner/operators. These customers are grouped under the Kal Pro Plus program which is an opt in membership program for qualified customers to this segment. They receive a preferred customer national price list, special vendor rebates for savings and other benefits. This role is responsible for growing membership in the program and ensuring continued sales growth in tire products and services. Work from home arrangement is available as an option.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain business relationships with customers.
- Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
- Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base.
- Collaborate with Admin Support team members to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
- Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via telephone and email cross-sell and up sell as well as drive new membership growth.
- Handle inbound prospect calls and convert into sales, new members or pass qualified leads to other team members.
- Prepare and track weekly sales plans, including customer contacts, quotes and prospects.
- Overcome objections of prospective customers.
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices and create Work Orders in backend systems.
- Understand customers' needs and develop sales opportunities.
- Answer customer’s questions and offer professional support regarding their business needs.
- Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers.
- Stay informed about competitors strategies, products and services.
- Where necessary, support marketing/sales efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
- Provide information about company products and services, charges, service conditions, and service availability.
- Ensure the products recommended meets the vehicle requirements and safety necessities.
- Recommend products from Kal Tire core product line.
- Suggest service and maintenance options for long term vehicle safety and reliability.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 years’ sales experience.
- Experience in inside sales and customer service (preferably phone or remote sales).
- Experience working with CRM or customer database systems.
- Professional and diplomatic approach.
- Customer-oriented, adaptable and responsive to various customer inquiries.
- Proficient with computer applications and tools.
- Ability to work on multiple applications at a time.
- Results-focused with solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Tire industry experience an asset.
- Ability to speak an additional language an asset (i.e. French, Punjabi, Hindi).
Education
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
Special Requirements
- Valid drivers license required.
- Open availability to cover shifts during operational hours which will include early morning, evening and potentially weekends.
- Travel will be required (approximately 3-4 times per year), primarily within Canada, with a possibility of travel to the US.
- Ability to work remotely/work-from-home setup.
- Candidates based in the Okanagan region will be required to work 100% in-office (Vernon, BC).
- Candidates must have the ability to complete onboarding in office (Vernon, BC) for the first week on the job.
