Job Description The Clinical Manager, Outpatient Oncology, will primarily be responsible for the overall leadership, management and operations of oncology clinics and systemic therapy services at the Queensway Health Centre site and partner to support other relevant teams within the Oncology Program. While embedding the standards and guidelines of Ontario Health – Cancer Care Ontario (OH-CCO), this role will ensure integration and evaluation of safe patient care and optimal patient outcomes. Facilitating interdepartmental collaboration and fostering a culture of shared leadership within the inter-professional team will contribute to this role’s success in planning and execution of strategic goals and quality and performance initiatives within the Program.

As a transformational leader, you will support an environment of safety and respect by instilling a culture to embrace diversity, equity and inclusion within multicultural teams and patient populations. A drive for continuous quality improvement will see the Clinical Manager, Outpatient Oncology to consistently identify, develop and implement processes, metrics and change initiatives to support and evaluate the effective and efficient delivery of patient services while achieving OH-CCO performance targets and the Program’s operational targets. Participation in the redesign of care delivery models for the Regional Cancer Centre and the ability to collaborate on and lead evidenced based practice projects will be an asset of this Leadership position.

Qualifications

  • A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Health disciplines - health administration, or a related program required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Licensed Regulated Health Professional in good standing with applicable Regulatory College.
  • Three years of formal or informal leadership experience, and at least 5 years relevant experience in a hospital or clinical outpatient setting.
  • A transformational leader with the ability to inspire and motivate the team to achieve organizational goals and quality outcomes.
  • Ability to foster a positive and collaborative environment and create a vision for the future while embracing the hospital’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated track record of building trust, and ability to foster a collaborative inter-professional team and patient/family approach to decision making.
  • A strong understanding of core healthcare business operations, finance, and clinical skills required for oncology care including knowledge of best practices and services is an asset.
  • Proven leadership and management skills including flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage change.
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in all categories of the LEADS framework at the management level
  • Superior communication, team building, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills within an interdisciplinary milieu.
  • Experience working within a unionized environment preferred
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English (multilingual fluency is an asset)
  • Knowledge of relevant health care and legislative standards/regulations e.g. public hospitals act, RHPA, AODA, ESA, OHSA, etc.
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis required.

Position Location and Travel: Travel between sites of Trillium Health Partners may be required.
