About Us
At Port443, we work together, laugh together, and, yes, eat a lot of donuts together. (Seriously, check out our Instagram—it’s basically a food blog at this point!). Lunchtime often turns into a mini Mario Kart tournament. We’re pretty competitive 🎮. Our products—My Music Staff, TutorBird, and AthletaDesk—are always evolving, so there’s never a dull moment around here. Every day, we connect with thousands of users worldwide, and if you ask them what they love most about us, they’ll tell you it’s because we listen. We go above and beyond to understand their needs, and that’s why our members are at the heart of everything we do. Their ideas and feedback shape our products.
Oh, and did we mention the donuts? 🍩
About You
You’re the kind of person who notices when something’s a little off and can’t help but investigate. You love solving puzzles, thinking through what could go wrong, and catching issues before they become bigger problems. You’re curious, detail-oriented, and get a weird amount of satisfaction from making sure things work the way they should. You work well with others, ask thoughtful questions, and aren’t afraid to speak up when something seems off. You’ve also got a good sense of humour, because let’s face it, hunting down bugs all day is a lot more fun when you can laugh about it.
What You Bring:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices
- Demonstratable experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, Junit, Appium
- Strong experience with Object Oriented Programming and concepts
- Hands-on experience in Java, C#, JavaScript
- Experience in RESTful/API automation
- Experience in QA testing of software products
- Experience with CI/CD
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Experience implementing processes for automated and manual testing
- Microsoft .NET Framework (C#)
- Frontend Frameworks (Angular, React, Vue)
- Familiarity with test reporting tools and quality metrics
What You’ll Do:
- Meet with various internal teams to understand product requirements and acceptance criteria
- Design comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test scenarios
- Perform manual testing to validate product functionality
- Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright
- Automate repetitive test cases to improve efficiency
- Identify, investigate, and thoroughly document bugs
- Collaborate with developers to enhance automated unit tests
- Participate in planning and coordinating testing activities
Meet the Team!
Chris has a creative brain and enjoys making things in his free time. When he’s off the clock, he’s usually painting, sculpting, or tinkering with a new project. 🎨
Liyang is naturally curious and happiest when he’s learning something new or playing badminton. When he’s not solving technical puzzles, he enjoys spending time with his son and dreaming about future travels. 🚆
Marc prefers to let his code do the talking. When it came time to submit his staff bio answers… well, we’re still waiting, but we hear he’s very competitive on the basketball court. 🏀
Mike runs on caffeine, sarcasm, and unwavering loyalty to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. When he’s not tracking down bugs, you’ll probably find him curling, eating tacos, or planning his quest to see the Ticats play in every CFL city. 🏈
Vick is calm, thoughtful, and the kind of person who keeps things organized behind the scenes. He once took a road-trip through 23 U.S. states in 17 days and still hopes to see the Leafs play in a live Stanley Cup game one day. 🏒
Other Perks/Benefits:
- Free snacks and coffee ☕ – because we know the way to your heart.
- Fun company social events throughout the year 🎉 – and yes, significant others are always welcome!
- Cool company swag when we hit milestones 👕 – check out our IG to see some of our past goodies.
- Comprehensive health benefits plan 🏥 – time to finally book that dentist appointment!
When you join Port443, you’re becoming part of a team that mixes innovation, excellence, and fun. Sound like your kind of place? We’d love to hear from you! To tell us why this role is calling your name and what you can bring to the table, submit your cover letter, resume, and, of course, your favourite donut flavour 🍩
P.S. A real human reads every submission, so don’t be shy—let your personality shine! 😄
Please note that while we appreciate every application, we may not be able to respond to all applicants. If you make it to the next round, we’ll be in touch!
