Compensation Details:

  • Lean Portfolio Management 17: Salaries typically range from $84,698 to $112,931 annually, based on qualifications and experiences.

Location:

  • Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office2days per week.(subject to change)
  • This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, Laval, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, or Vancouver.

Team Overview:

  • The Enterprise Portfolio Management team enables delivery of the highest value initiatives by ensuring teams are empowered to deliver strategic outcomes in a standardized way. Under the leadership of Enterprise Strategy Enablement, the team has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:

o Govern strategic initiatives, balance the portfolio, and visualize risks, consistent with Portfolio Delivery Standards and align transformation requests with EDC’s strategy and ensure that approved initiatives follow all requirements of the Initiative Lifecycle Framework (ILF) throughout the full lifecycle.

o Ensure that Planview, the system of record, is available and functional by reviewing data quality to support Financial Management and Portfolio Performance. While governing a cohesive set of standards adopted by delivery teams, to provide insights on how work is progressing toward enterprise goals.

o Create centralized reports to transparently communicate how teams are progressing against EDC’s strategic objectives and the status of initiatives, including visualizing EDC’s scorecard in a central location.

  • The Advisor plays a key role in enabling effective decision‑making, supporting compliance and governance activities, and helping teams execute on priorities with clarity and accountability. In this role, you will collaborate closely with leaders, colleagues across the organization, and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality analysis, guidance, and coordination.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide advisory support to leaders and internal partners on initiatives, processes, and operational requirements.
  • Prepare clear, concise briefing materials, summaries, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Lead oversight and governance activities by ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines and standards.
  • Analyze data, policies, or program materials and provide insights to inform decisions.
  • Coordinate meetings, maintain timelines, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive deliverables forward.
  • Support program reviews, and portfolio reporting activities by gathering inputs, validating information, and preparing high‑quality submissions.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal partners to ensure alignment and efficient information flow.

What we are looking for:

-**Education:**Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma in relevant field (e.g. business, technology, project management) -**Domain experience:**Minimum 5 years of related business experience such as advisory, project management, or governance‑related role. -**Domain knowledge:**Experience in project management, agile principles and practices. -**Communication skills:**Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with both business and technical audiences; strong listening skills. -Stakeholder management: Strong problem-solving abilities and strong ability to interact with all levels within the organization. Team player. -**Initiative:**Innovative and experimental mindset. Open minded with a continuous growth attitude.

What will make you stand out:

-Functional experience: Governance monitoring in an EPMO function, Experience with Planview tools, Power BI and CoPilot -**Industry experience:**Certification such as PMP, DASM, LPM, Project management or Agile methodologies and tools -Negotiation skills. -**Language:**Bilingual in both official languages (French and English).
