About the opportunity
The Trade Marketing Manager is accountable for optimizing profitable sales and category development opportunities, consistent with the divisional budget and long-term KPI’s (primarily volume, pricing, margin contribution, cash flow & market share). The position is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally in developing & executing pricing strategies, maximizing trade spending efficiency, management of product, promotion & customer mix. The position acts as a liaison between the Category Management, Marketing, Sales, Management Control, Customer Strategy & Development (CS&D) and Supply Chain. Strong leadership and influence management skills are required to gain credibility with leaders across the organization The attributes we are looking for: Oversee financial forecasting & reporting of volume and net sales to division management control performed by the Associate Trade Marketing Managers. This includes Risk & Opportunity (R&O) management, commentary on commercial performance versus budget/prior year/financial forecasts and net sales validation at month end. Strong collaboration with S&OP stakeholders (supply chain, demand planning, operations, sales operations, customer sales etc.) ensuring communication & resolution of forecasting inaccuracies impacting production planning, providing supply prioritization guidance and risk mitigation solutions. Budget planning responsibilities include overseeing volume building blocks & net sales consensus reviews with sales and submission of budgeted price increase, new contract investment and listing fees. Work closely with both Innovation and Brand Marketing teams on innovation & renovation pipeline to complement consumer-first ideation with shopper & commercial insights. The Trade Marketing Manager will serve to advocate for the voice of shoppers, retailers and account sales to drive value-added portfolio growth both to the category and Lactalis Division. This includes P&L development & review and commercial inputs to support business case generation. Lead collaboration with all internal stakeholders to optimize & develop customer initiatives, agreements and investment structures (i.e. PVA/exclusivity agreements, customer demands, customer specific brand development, private label development etc.) to achieve divisional budget and long-term KPIs. This includes P&L development & review, trade spend investment & pricing approvals, negotiation scenario planning, assortment & agreement term recommendations and supply validation. Collaborate cross-functionally with an entrepreneurial mindset to identify and pursue initiatives for continuous improvement and business transformation to optimize both commercial and operational results. This includes working with Supply Chain & Operations to manage medium to long term demand against current and projected capacities. Develop and execute national/regional strategies for pricing, trade spending and product/promotion mix within the division through collaboration with Sales and CS&D to maximize volume, profitability and share results. Implement and collaborate with Trade Marketing Director to develop price increase strategies, track execution, monitor accuracy and address any issues to maximize P&L impacts. Provide support to CS&D in developing key processes & tools pertaining to price & trade spend management (e.g. trade spend evaluation, return on investment dashboards, TPM/TPO integration etc.). Collaborate with Trade Marketing Director & Business Development Director to advance new channels of opportunity to improve mix and increase profit.
What you will bring
University degree or college diploma 7-8 years experience (5 years managing sales accounts, 2 years of National account experience) Experience with Shopper/Syndicated data (Nielsen, Numerator) Experience with business applications such as SAP/BW, TPM, Microsoft 365 and PowerBI Strong analytical, planning and communication skills (formal and informal presentation) Strong leadership skills and strategic thinking abilities Ability to successfully manage multiple and competing priorities Strong initiative, with a proactive mindset and the ability to influence others Project management skills Demonstrated leadership skills, organizational agility, and ability to manage a diverse cross-functional team & team management Strong technical skill set in the areas of budget planning, investment analysis and financial reviews Strong decision making ability Proficient with business applications such as SAP/BW, TPM, Microsoft 365 and PowerBI Bilingual (English and French) an asset

Compensation
As part of our commitment to fairness, trust, and transparency and our ambition to be an Employer of Choice, the base salary range for this position is $111 400 – $139 200+. Please note: Along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, your actual base salary will be fair, competitive, and be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
