Reporting to the Supervisor, Sales Administration for Refined Metals, the Sales Administrator will be responsible for arranging efficient commercial administration and delivery of Teck refined metals sales worldwide, from order-taking, booking material, ensuring accurate customs and shipping documentation, and all invoicing through to final settlement including delivery of product to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Coordinate shipments from port/mine/smelter and other points of origin to the customer as effectively and efficiently as possible by ensuring that all documentation including invoicing is complete, accurate and presented in accordance with the sales agreement
- Provide outstanding consistent customer service while maintaining records of schedules and keeping all parties informed of shipment movements
- As a key customer contact, maintain positive long-term customer satisfaction by understanding and servicing customers’ needs and commitments
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve Teck’s objectives (netbacks, inventory, days sales outstanding (DSO), compliance, etc.) by:
- Working with operating personnel and Teck's Logistics group to ensure timely delivery of our products in a cost-effective manner
- Working with teams to schedule orders in an efficient and economical manner while meeting our customer commitments
- Working with sales managers and finance/credit/accounting groups in monitoring and ensuring product inventory and DSO are within target level
- Maintaining shipment specific records and ensuring that most current and accurate information is reflected in Teck’s various system applications (SAP, CRM, ETQ, SharePoint, etc.)
- Ensuring that sales transactions follow internal policies, legal and accounting requirements, ISO and other applicable standards
- Partnering with internal groups including Digital Systems, Accounting and Management to match our business processes to Teck’s diverse system applications
- Assisting with timely completion of internal and external audits
- Finding cost-effective solutions to problems that affect customer deliveries
- Application of Teck’s sales policies and procedures
Qualifications
- College or university degree in Business or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with customers in a B2B environment required; familiarity with commodities and/or logistics preferred
- Demonstrated ability to sustain excellent long-term customer relations by understanding customers’ needs and how products, services and processes impact needs
- Highly developed listening and interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple groups including customers and internal departments
- Strong digital literacy, with MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with SAP and CRM would be preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to create accurate and timely documentation
- Ability to uphold compliance with sales policies and procedures
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads to meet both internal and external deadlines
- Self-starter with proven ability to multitask under minimal supervision and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of supply and delivery of products including production scheduling and logistics preferred
- Strong English proficiency, both written and verbal communication, with the ability to express themselves in a concise fashion
- Knowledge and comprehension of technical and legal terms in shipping documents, sales contracts and letters of credit is considered an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and sustainability
Pay Range: CAD $74,000 - $103,000 per year
The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
