Job Description
Regional Group Sales Executive
This client-facing role will focus on supporting a Regional Account Director as well as the greater Regional Group Sales Team within Fairmont Pacific Rim, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and Fairmont Waterfront.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to a Regional Account Director, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Providing administrative support to a Regional Account Director and other Regional Group Sales team members as required
-
Organize and conduct site visits, FAMS and presentations for prospective group clients
-
Organize and participate in client events, sales calls and business development initiatives as required
-
Assisting in the coordination of sales trips including preparation of sales kits, gifts and making travel arrangements
-
Collect market and competitive intelligence to maximize group sales opportunities
-
Utilize Opera Sales & Catering on a daily basis to enter leads, update accounts, contacts and log sales activities.
-
Quote and negotiate rates within established parameters
-
Prepare and send detailed proposals and contracts as required
-
Creation and execution of training manuals, SOP’s and assist with on-boarding of new team members
-
Participate in departmental / self-guided training and development
-
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as required
-
Attend Leadership meetings, Resume & Pre-con Meetings, and provide strong sales presence while customers are onsite
-
Promote ALL Meeting Planner program
-
Follow departmental policies and procedures, and all safety policies
-
Extend prompt and courteous service to both internal and external customers while ensuring professionalism through e-mail, phone calls and in person interactions.

Communicating with other departments within the hotel(s) to ensure distribution of important information
-

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Minimum of three years hotel sales experience required
-
Bachelors Degree and/or Hotel Management Degree preferred
-
Multiple property sales experience preferred
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal required, with the ability to build relationships and rapport seamlessly
-
Computer literacy in various applications including Opera Sales & Catering System (or other CMS), Microsoft Office, Lanyon, LinkedIn
-
Goal oriented, competitive and well organized
-
Proven ability to problem solve, interact with many moving parts and collaborate with various areas throughout the hotel
-
Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and professional
-
Ability to travel and work flexible hours and days
-
Be a role model in pro-active sales
