About The Role We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient student to join our team as a Machine Learning Engineering Intern. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in building and deploying production-ready data pipelines and ML models in a cloud environment, providing a robust foundation for a career in MLOps and Data Science.

Key Responsibilities The intern will focus on the technical implementation and operational aspects of our data and ML systems:

• Data Pipeline Development: Assist in the development and maintenance of Python data pipelines and ETL processes utilizing key libraries like pandas and NumPy.
• ML Model Support: Support the team in building, training, and testing machine learning models using scikit-learn and other ML frameworks for core analytical tasks.
• Database Operations: Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis to support modeling and reporting efforts.
• API Implementation: Contribute to the development and maintenance of REST APIs using modern Python frameworks like FastAPI or Flask for serving model predictions and data access.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Assist in leveraging Azure cloud services (storage, compute, ML services) to support model deployment and infrastructure tasks.
• Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis and apply statistical concepts to understand dataset characteristics and validate hypotheses.

Required Qualifications Current Enrollment: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

Programming: Foundational to strong proficiency in Python and experience with data manipulation libraries ( pandas, NumPy ).

Database: Solid understanding of relational databases and the ability to write intermediate to advanced SQL queries .

Machine Learning: Coursework or project experience in Machine Learning concepts (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, model evaluation).

Statistics: Understanding of fundamental statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, distributions, regression).

API/Web: Basic familiarity with the concept of REST API design and experience or coursework with a framework like FastAPI or Flask is a plus.

Cloud: Familiarity with the basic concepts of cloud computing; exposure to Azure services is beneficial but not required.
