The Position:
The Culligan Commercial & Industrial Division is currently seeking an experienced and career-driven Sales Representative to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development and market expansion, with a proven ability to identify and grow opportunities within a defined territory. A self-motivated individual with a results-oriented mindset, this person thrives in an independent work environment and demonstrates a true “hunter” mentality—constantly pursuing new business opportunities.
This is a full-time role with approximately 60% of business generated through self-sourced leads. The position offers a 100% commission structure (no cap on earnings) providing significant earning potential for top performers.
We are seeking serious and qualified applicants who are ready to take their sales career to the next level with a recognized industry leader.
The Responsibilities:
- Evaluate customer needs and understand market drivers to develop tailored, value-driven proposals that ensure appropriate service/product, delivery, and pricing.
- Develop sales promotion strategies for small and medium-sized businesses.
- Perform needs analyses on customer requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management, resolving any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Utilize sales management tools for sales planning, supplier planning, and documenting opportunities.
- Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Utilize existing software to maintain effective communications within the organization (Salesforce, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as sales tools for development
- Achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets as defined in the sales plan
The Desired Qualifications:
- University degree in business/marketing or engineering is an asset
- Previous water treatment experience
- Demonstrated experience developing new business prospects
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong knowledge of outside sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Strong communication skills (reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking)
- Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Solid problem solving and decision-making ability
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
