As a Specialist Auditor, you will influence and facilitate change across the organization in a role that provides tremendous networking and development opportunities. In this role, you will gain enterprise wide exposure as you work with the various sites to plan and conduct audits and consulting engagements.
Minimum Requirements:
- University Degree, in an area which can be applied to auditing assignments (eg. Engineering, Science)
- Five+ years of relevant audit experience in areas of Operations, Process Safety, Environment, Health & Safety, or Maintenance & Reliability
- Proven strong communicator and critical thinker
- Experience leading teams and successfully managing projects
- Five years management system experience
- Experience leading work applying ISO19011 Standard, Certified Lead Auditor under ISO9001/14001/45001/55001 schemes
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading audits from planning through to execution and reporting
- Responsible to analyze state of conformance to Suncor’s management system requirements
- Participates in audits led by other team members
- Responsible to train and mentor guest auditors and new audit team members to the program to drive a consistent high-quality result.
- Presents audit findings to senior leaders
- Supports the OIA Director in management of the Audit Program including the Guest Auditor program
- Supports annual audit planning and scheduling
- Supports stewardship and communications as required
Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
- Regular travel to site is required
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
