WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Senior Communications & Community Relations Associate (PT- Hybrid)
Position Overview Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Project Management, with oversight from the President, the Senior Communications & Community Relations Associate is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications initiatives that strengthen the organization’s profile as the global leader in LNP technology.
This hybrid role supports internal and external communications while building meaningful relationships with collaborators, industry stakeholders, and government representatives (at the local, provincial and federal levels). The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in science to ensure clear, transparent, and compelling messaging that reflects our mission, values, and scientific impact.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Communications
- In conjunction with Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Project Management, develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Translate complex scientific and regulatory information into accessible content for a diverse set of audiences.
- Develop and maintain content aligned with the company’s strategic direction for our various channels and platforms (website, social media, and other digital communications), including from time to time, in collaboration with partners and other collaborators.
- Draft and manage press releases, media statements, and other key messaging
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends and provide strategic recommendations to
- Support third party agency
Media & Public Relations
- With input from the Senior Management Team and the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Project Management, serve as the primary media contact and organize media briefings, interviews, and announcements.
- In coordination with Acuitas’s agency of record, develop and foster relationships with industry and other media.
Internal Communications
- Support employee engagement through regular internal updates and leadership
- Develop materials that reinforce company culture, mission, and
Brand & Reputation Management
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and communications assets and
- Manage vendors and
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- In conjunction with the President and the Company’s Community Impact Committee, develop and implement a community relations strategy that supports our community investment
- Build relationships with local industry groups and
- Coordinate community outreach initiatives, sponsorships, and educational
Qualifications
- Sc. with 3-5 years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, or corporate affairs, with strong preference for experience in scientific communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Experience in translating scientific or technical content for a variety of
- Demonstrated experience managing media relationships and stakeholder

Compensation $89,000 - $96,000 per annum, pro-rated for part-time status.
