The Sr. Anlst., Pricing & Estimating serves as the bridge between customer requirements and production capabilities, ensuring jobs are accurately priced, remain profitable, and can be executed within manufacturing parameters.
Responsibilities
-
Produce accurate estimates by reviewing new requests, clarifing incomplete specifications with account managers or customer service, and prepare cost estimates aligned with company standards.

Prepare cost analysis by calculating material, labour, machine time, and overhead costs to deliver realistic, competitive quotes.

Manage profitability by developing precise estimates to avoid underpricing or overpricing.

Prepare detailed bids and proposals outlining scope, costs, and timelines.

Develop efficient, cost-effective job layouts and verify order accuracy.
-
Conduct margin reviews and source competitive quotes for raw materials and outside services when required.
-
Collaborate with account managers, customer service, and production to meet customer requirements and participate in production/management meetings to review contracts and projects.

Provide layouts, estimates, updates, and pricing for new projects.
-
Create customer price lists that are incorporated directly into contract documentation.

Work with management to develop pricing strategies.

Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to support cross‑functional teams.

Contribute to departmental goals by sharing insights, recommending improvements, and supporting decision‑making.

Demonstrate accountability and ownership in resolving issues and driving projects forward.
-
Optimize estimating processes and maintain accurate documentation.
-
Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
-
Support improvement initiatives across departments aimed at reducing costs and streamlining processes.

Work in collaboration with the Sr. Procurement Specialist to cross‑train and strengthen raw material and inventory management processes.
What you need to succeed:
-
College or university degree/certification in Graphic Communications Management, or equivalent work experience in the Graphic Arts Industry (Printing & Consumer Packaging).
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Estimator, preferably within the Graphic Arts Industry.
-
Experience in raw material purchasing and inventory management processes, preferably within print manufacturing, strongly preferred.
-
High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, as well as ERP and MRP systems/software.
-
Strong interpersonal skills combined with a customer service mindset, with the ability to represent the organization professionally and courteously to both internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively partnering across cross‑functional teams (Account Managers, Customer Service Representatives, and Manufacturing).

Exceptional organizational and analytical skills to plan, monitor, and optimize production efficiencies in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Commitment to continuous learning to maintain and expand knowledge, skills, and expertise for achieving positive results.

Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.
