Description Located out of our Calgary office, the Marketing Finance Student will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting, invoicing, financial analysis and reporting within the Marketing Finance team.
Key Activities And Responsibilities
- Support the Marketing Accounting function by completing and validating the invoicing for Crude and NGL businesses
- Support monthly settlements, accounts receivable and payable processes
- Prepare month-end journal entries and supporting schedules
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports, variance analyses, and reconciliations
- Liaise and work closely with marketers and traders to understand contracts
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and internal reporting as required
- Assist with business initiatives and involvement in special projects as required
Education, Skills And Experience
- Enrolled (or New Graduate) in a university program, with a focus in accounting or finance
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage internal and external relationships with well-developed interpersonal, team, presentation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Good Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of accounting under IFRS
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, growth environment
Hours Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
April/May – December 2026 (8-9 months)
As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of employment verification and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
