About the role

Boudreault, a division of Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Gatineau. The Straight Truck driver is responsible for delivering products to our customers in a safe and professional manner, on time and accurately. This is a full-time position, from Monday-Friday with variable working hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving company-owned and licensed vehicles within Montreal and surrounding areas.
  • Loading and unloading stock in a secure manner for safe, damage-free transportation.
  • Verifying all orders at time of delivery and delivering orders to meet customer specifications.
  • Ensuring equipment and trucks are in good working condition through adherence to delivery maintenance procedures.
  • Familiarity with the completion of delivery registers and paperwork to ensure stock is accounted for.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English & French). The employee needs to be able to communicate with the head office, outside vendors, etc.
  • Holder of active Class 3 license with a minimum of two years of truck driving experience is required.
  • Clean drivers abstract/CVOR
  • Current TDG/WHMIS knowledge would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to use power loading equipment.
  • Tailgate experience would be considered an asset.
  • Familiar with ISO Policies and Procedures would be considered an asset.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Good decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
  • High school graduate and/or related experience.

Working/Other Conditions:

  • Working on-site in a dry climate-controlled warehouse and vehicle environment.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment – company supplied.
  • Minimal to moderate exposure to hazardous conditions, noise, and vibrations conducive to a warehouse and vehicle environment.
  • Ability to operate Stand-up Material Handling Equipment as required.
  • Repetitive physical activities including but not limited to lifting, bending, pushing and pulling weights up to 23 kg (50lbs) for the duration of the shift.
  • As an essential services provider you must be comfortable driving in all weather and road conditions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be flexible regarding work hours.
  • Ability to work extended hours, which may be required from time to time.
