Min Wage: $36.37 hourly

Max Wage: $37.13 hourly

THE POSITION:
As a Library Supervisor 1 you will provide support in the effective operation of the library which may include supervisory and administrative duties.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Completion of the following courses or equivalent courses from recognized institutions with library technician programs from:

UFV: two out of three of the following:

  • LIBT 100: Introduction to Libraries
  • LIBT 140: Library Public Services
  • LIBT 145: Online Searching

Or alternately,

Langara: two out of three of the following:

  • LIBR 1120: Philosophy and Functions
  • LIBR 2416: Reference Resources and Services
  • LIBR 1111: Online Search and Information Handling
  1. Introductory supervisory training from a recognized institution, or equivalent. This is in addition to courses taken as part of the diploma / degree requirement.

  2. Combination of one year work related and on the job experience.

  3. Valid B.C. Driver's Licence (minimum Level 'N').

  4. Criminal Record check is required.
