What You Will Do Our Toronto office is seeking undergraduate students to join the team as a Full-Time hire in Fall 2026 or Summer 2027 as a part of our Risk Services practice.

Please note that this opportunity is located at KPMG's Toronto Bay-Adelaide office in a hybrid (4 days a week in the office) working model.

This role is open to both those who are pursuing a CPA and those who are not. Please note, CPA PER requirements can be met through GRCS projects and engagements. Our Governance, Risk, and Compliance Services (GRCS) professionals offer a comprehensive suite of advisory services designed to elevate the efficiency and effectiveness of the three lines of defense. The Risk and Compliance Transformation team is dedicated to helping clients operationalize and refine their risk management and compliance functions. This team has a global mandate and spans multiple industries, where we focus on the review, design, enhancement, and integration of Enterprise Risk Management; Operational Risk Management; Regulatory Compliance; Third-party Risk Management; Climate Risk Management; Enterprise / Operational Resilience; 1b Functions; and Control Testing Functions.

The successful Consultant will be responsible in supporting the planning, execution, and reporting for engagements, working both as part of larger engagement teams and individually with guidance and review from more senior professionals.  You will have the opportunity to work across geographies and industries to take on challenging and groundbreaking projects while building strong relationships with our people and developing professional skills that will help set you up for success.

Your responsibilities include

  • Supporting large transformational engagements across both second line functions (e.g., operational risk, compliance) and first line functions (e.g., control testing).
  • Delivering multiple simultaneous client engagements of varying sizes, scopes, and complexities, ensuring effective execution.
  • Collaborating in the design and implementation of relevant frameworks and artifacts, including risk appetite, ORM frameworks, and organizational hierarchies.
  • Assisting in the development of tailored risk and compliance governance structures, focusing on Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer functions.
  • Implementing and enhancing existing risk and compliance systems/tools in line with business requirements, utilizing GRC tools and advanced technologies.
  • Participating in the preparation and delivery of analyses, client engagement plans, reports, and presentations.
  • Delivering high-quality work that is on time and meets the firm’s quality standards.
  • Encouraging innovative thinking and challenging traditional methods to improve processes and outputs.
  • Supporting business development initiatives, contributing to proposals, marketing materials, and internal and external presentations.

  • Graduating university student with a major in Accounting, Finance, Business, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience (we welcome students pursuing a CPA and those who are not)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to clearly convey concepts and services to clients
  • Proven ability to achieve personal and professional success while juggling competing priorities and deadlines
  • Superior visualization and communication skills using PowerPoint and other MS Office tools
  • Highly motivated and strives for excellence, innovation and collaboration
  • Flexible in working style and willing to learn new ways, methods and approaches
  • High degree of personal confidence and drive
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, in and out of the work environment
  • Familiarity using AI platforms, agents and data analytic tools is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in both French and English is considered an asset

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
