Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Americas Payroll team. This role is responsible for processing and auditing payroll for employees across Canada and the US, while also supporting payroll system implementation projects, including ADP GlobalView and SAP SuccessFactors. This position is approximately 70% payroll operations and 30% technical/project support in a fast-paced, collaborative, and project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and audit payroll for US and Canada employees
- Collaborate with ADP GlobalView and internal teams (HR, Finance, etc.)
- Assist in payroll platform integration and system upgrades
- Maintain compliance with tax and legislative requirements
- Reconcile payroll data, remittances, and year-end filings
- Support ESPP, Stock Options, pensions, and GL reporting
- Provide excellent support to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Canada & US payroll experience in multi-entity/global organizations
- Strong experience with ADP (GlobalView, Streamline, Celergo)
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, processes, and reporting
- PCP or FPC certification (preferred)
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- No requirement for Canadian experience
Work Environment
- Hybrid model: 2–3 days per week in the Waterloo office
