The Resource Manager has overall responsibility for client facing professionals within their service area, which includes the assignment of resources at all levels. The objective is to align individual career development and preferences with client assignment needs as well as the financial objectives of the business. This role will support our Tax practice and report to the National Tax Resourcing Lead.
What you will do:
- Manager on the National Tax Resource Management Team to effectively report and analyze data and resources to help make staffing decisions
- Interact/connect with Partners and managers in each team to better understand staffing needs
- Facilitate Partner/Manager conflict resolution with respect to staffing
- Produce/Review and provide input to Leadership with utilization reports, forecasts and variance reports. Delivers process compliance statistics
- Provide advanced warning of problems/ resource availability
- Identify available resources, matching skills with engagement requirements. Where required, facilitate the use of resources from within other areas.
- Maintain a solid understanding of the resources areas of expertise, skills sets, project experiences, client continuity and staffing preferences
- Work regularly with our Resource Management software
- Schedule, plan and manage resource needs by attending Manager/Partner planning meetings to understand staffing and client requirements including conflict resolution and liaison with other stakeholders
- Support the team with projects, meetings and ad hoc work that might arise

- Strong computer skills, Power BI, MS word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Expereince with resource forecasting tools is an asset;
- Excellent written and oral business communication skills
- Post-Secondary/ University Degree;
- 3 years of experience in a professional services environment either in a client facing, or Resource Management role.
