Are you ready to elevate your aviation career? Join WestJet as a First Officer and play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and exceptional air travel across our extensive network. Our fleet includes Boeing 787, 737 NG, and 737 MAX aircraft, and we’re looking for skilled professionals who are passionate about aviation and committed to excellence. As a First Officer, you will contribute to the safe and timely operation of our flights while delivering a high-quality guest experience. You will demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to teamwork in every aspect of your role.
Are you ready for your next adventure? Ensure you meet the following minimum requirements:
Valid Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) Minimum 2000 hours total flight time Minimum 500 hours fixed-wing multi-engine time and multi-crew experience is preferred Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating and Class 1 Medical Certificate Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status Ability to travel unrestricted to all WestJet destinations (any required visas and/or travel documents are the sole responsibility of the candidate) Clear criminal record and background check Proficiency in oral and written English Offers of employment are conditional on passing a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) before completing Initial Ground School
Qualifications
As applications may exceed available vacancies, preference will be given to candidates who exceed minimum qualifications and experience, including but not limited to:
3,000+ hours total flight time Jet or turbo-prop experience in a 705 operation Previous WestJet Group experience Graduation from one of our partnership schools Post-secondary education in aviation or related field
Please note: candidates will be required to provide documentation for review during the recruitment process, including (but not limited to) the Transport Canada Aviation Booklet, logbooks, Transport Canada licensing record, and Transport Canada licensing verification letter.
