About the team
Our Legal team is the primary legal partner for Equativ's business leaders across the globe. Team members provide regulatory support and advice; they grow in a fast-paced and complex environment.
Key day-to-day responsibilities :
- You will primarily support the sales teams principally (but not limited to) across North America business Unit by :
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts related to advertising sales notably AdServing, SSP, DSP agreements, data providers, data processing agreement as well as other commercial contracts such as suppliers or partner’s contracts; non disclosure agreement, amendments;
- Drafting termination letters;
- Support on creating and updating templates for Equativ’s services, platform or for new features or services ;
- Supporting the implementation of a new tool (Contract Life management)
- Supporting the migration from one platform to another (duplication and contract transfer processing)
- Support on developing guidelines, procedures and training sessions on contract process and best practices to optimize our efficiency and build legal framework.
- Ability to translate legal language into clear business language.
- You will be responsible to provide on a regular basis legal updates and memo on new regulations, case law, contract, privacy and related laws.
- Support the team with any project
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business law Experience in reviewing, draft and negotiating contracts, 1-2 years
- Strong analytical skills and synthesis spirit
- At ease with confidentiality
- Team spirit, willing to help
- Fluency in French & English (both written and spoken) is mandatory
- Knowledge of English is required since the incumbent must collaborate and communicate regularly with teams, clients and suppliers outside Quebec, and use tools and documents available only in English.
- Ability to deal with many projects simultaneously
Nice to have but not mandatory:
- Experience as a Legal Counsel in a digital environment
- Comfortable with data privacy regulations and laws
