About the role
About The Role WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity to join our team in Ontario CA. This position is responsible for all product shipping to customers and internal transfers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process’s small part & LTL shipments, processing in timely and accurate manner
- Understand the logistics process and procedure
- Monitors age and status of open freight shipments and follow-up on issues as needed
- Files and processes paperwork in accordance with the established procedures
- Schedules trucks through systems such as SAP and TMS
- Keeps accurate records on outgoing shipments
- Works closely with other departments to ensure timely shipments of all products and accurate tracking in operation system
- Prepares shipments including taking pictures, writing Bill of Lading/s (BOL) and other required documentation
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
Assists Shipping Carriers In Tracking And Shipment InformationEducation
- High School or GED preferred.
Knowledge / Training
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organization and administrative skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts.
- Detail oriented and the ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of warehouse operation systems such as SAP or similar.
- Knowledge of LTL and dedicated services.
Experience
- 1-3 years shipping experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
