Position Details:
Echo NDE is currently recruiting for a Temporary Data Specialist to support their Pipeline Integrity operations. The Pipeline Integrity Data Specialist is responsible for analyzing and entering data related to the integrity and maintenance of pipeline systems. This role involves close collaboration with operations and field technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of pipeline infrastructure. Successful candidates must reside in the Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB areas, be well organized, have good analytical skills, and be detailed oriented. This position does have the possibility of becoming permanent.
We are looking for an individual who is innovative, self-driven, autonomous, and customer service oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, and analyze data related to pipeline integrity, including corrosion data, inspection data, and maintenance records.
- Prepare detailed reports on pipeline integrity findings and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all data and analysis performed.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all documentation.
- Understand and comply with each program's management and technical requirements.
- Develop project estimates, initiate projects, and entries.
- Recognize, identify, and investigate data issues.
- Responsible for timely delivery of project outcomes related to data processing and management.
- Adhere to quality standards and ensure accuracy of work.
- Participate in Team Meetings and remain connected to organization’s annual goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines, always prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Convey information professionally, efficiently, and politely to everyone.
- Perform various administrative support tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma.
- Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of pipeline integrity management practices and regulatory standards.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High proficiency with MS Office computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and planning skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and have an appreciation of deadlines.
- Exceptional ability to listen, inquire, and make informed decisions.
