The Opportunity
This internship is based in our Mississauga office and offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Structural Heart marketing team. You'll work closely with the Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to support strategic and tactical initiatives that drive brand awareness, product adoption, and customer engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates looking to gain experience in the medical device and healthcare industry, particularly in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

  • Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Intern supports the brand on many tactical aspects of the business.
  • The Marketing Intern's focus is to deliver on short-term ongoing programs by ensuring that all key steps of the projects are completed.
  • The Marketing Intern will participate in new product introductions by supporting the Marketing team on planning and implementation of key programs.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in the roll-out of digital marketing and marketing automation strategies.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to help develop Business review, financial plans, forecasting, etc.
  • Support the development and execution of brand strategy, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
  • Help create and manage marketing collateral, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and regulatory approval processes.
  • Coordinate logistics and planning for internal and external events, including congresses, educational programs, and customer meetings.
  • Contribute to marketing analytics, including tracking KPIs, preparing reports, and analyzing campaign performance.
  • Participate in governance meetings, helping prepare materials and follow up on action items.
  • Ensure compliance with Abbott's policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must be enrolled in a university and currently in the process of completing an MBA.
  • Good understanding of the healthcare environment, pharmaceutical marketplace and the sales and marketing processes.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
