MCW Custom Energy Solutions is currently seeking a self-motivated, Engineering Student, to join the Toronto Office. This role would be a 12-16 month contract starting in May 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a student who is looking to grow and develop their professional career in environmental energy savings and is looking to gain valuable hands-on work experience in a fast-paced engineering consultancy.

Hourly Pay Rate:$24.00 - $27.00

Responsibilities: The CES team works on energy conservation projects – specializing in federal, institutional and municipal sectors. The Measurement and Verification (M&V) team oversees the process of planning, measuring and analyzing data to verify and report on the energy savings resulting from the implementation of energy efficiency projects. The Engineering Student will work under the supervision of the M&V team. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Migrate interval data of ongoing projects onto Microsoft Power BI and develop energy dashboards;
• Organize and transform energy interval data in Power BI and assist in the development of an MCW CES Power BI standard or set of protocols
• Build an Energy Use Intensity (EUI) database of historical CES projects for integration into the ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® platform.
• Provide data analysis support to the M&V team as needed (e.g. including utility and/or sub-meter data gathering, storage and quality control, as well as analysis and evaluation of energy flows to prepare meaningful and concise reports that summarize the information)
• Other duties as assigned
