About the role
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Operation
- Safely drive and park the mobile health clinic in both urban and regional locations.
- Operate and monitor RV systems, including engine, fuel, climate control, electrical, and water systems.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness for clinic operations.
Physical & Technical Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading supplies, equipment, and clinical materials.
- Conduct basic maintenance checks and inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
- Perform occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs), walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Provide basic troubleshooting for minor mechanical or electrical issues.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all traffic and occupational safety regulations.
- Adhere to waste disposal protocols for both general and clinical materials.
- Ensure the safety and security of staff, clients, and equipment while on-site.
Collaboration
- Work closely with clinic staff to coordinate deployment schedules.
- Report maintenance needs, operational concerns, or safety issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and the public.
Qualifications• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Previous experience operating larger vehicles (RV, bus, or commercial van) preferred.
- Knowledge of RV or fleet vehicle systems (climate control, electrical, water, etc.) an asset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules.
Schedule & Hours• Part-time role averaging 20–25 hours per week.
- Hours may vary depending on clinic deployment schedule.
- Some early mornings, evenings, or weekend availability may be required.
