Reliability Engineer in Training (EIT)

We’re looking for a Reliability Engineer in Training (EIT) who is detail-oriented and proactive, ready to provide technical support, manage RAMP and Availability records, and drive improvements that make a real impact on our fleet and customer operations. Location: Fort McMurray, AB
Salary: $100,000 - $115,000
Work arrangement: Hybrid – flexibility to work from home 2 days a week
What You’ll Do
- Provide technical support, maintain RAMP and Availability records, and ensure accurate data input and reporting.
- Guide branch staff on RAMP program inclusions, exclusions, and charges.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, analyze performance metrics, and recommend improvements to optimize assets and reduce costs.
- Lead Availability improvement projects, negotiate monthly sign-offs, and document major component change-outs.
- Develop and implement procedures, S.O.P.s, and quality assurance processes for SMS Equipment and external customers.
- Collaborate with customers, consultants, and internal teams to resolve issues, analyze failures, and implement design or operational improvements.
What You Bring
- Engineering degree (preferably Mechanical) or related technical education.
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical or technical experience, including troubleshooting in the Mobile Heavy Equipment industry.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Understanding of failure analysis and ability to apply it to operational or component issues.
- Knowledge of OHSE acts, fleet inspection requirements, and company/customer standards.
- Excellent planning, organizational, project management, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
