Job Description

Your Team
You will be part of the North America Transfer Agency and Leveraged Solutions team. Empowering the North America Transfer Agency through agile methodologies, we integrate vendor and custom-built cloud-native solutions to deliver reliable, business-value-driven solutions. Leveraged Solutions strives to cultivate an enterprise architecture which fosters excellence in SharePoint and the Microsoft Power Platform, providing unwavering support and a vibrant community, driving efficiency gains and sustainable growth.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Complete all tasks related to building and unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the Technology development life cycle
  • Build and test system components or amendments
  • Always conform to documentation, coding and quality standards as defined
  • Review, discuss and work within agreed timescales and feedback to project managers any variances arising as tasks are performed
  • Prepare for and support user acceptance testing
  • Perform quality assurance tests on the work of other developers
  • Prepare all necessary documentation and processes to enable ongoing support of the systems
  • Communicate with internal and external customers, supervisors and management using clear, user-friendly terminology (emails, phone, meetings)
  • Assist project and line managers in producing estimates for the development phase of projects and enhancements
  • Third tier support escalation as required
  • Participation in business recovery exercise as required

The Experience You Bring:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a broad range of database development facets including some or most of the following:
  • Development of stored procedures, packages and transformations on SQL Server and Oracle
  • CA Autosys job scheduler (batch job design)
  • Development of data transformations and validations for database import/export activities (SQL Server Information Services, Informactica)
  • Additional experience with Sterling Connect Direct, Business Objects, Embarcadero Studio platform knowledge are a plus
  • Experience with full participation in software development methodology: Scope, Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment
  • Solid experience of working in project teams and with third party vendors
  • Experience with Agile software development (Scrum is a plus)

  • Enjoy challenging and thought-provoking work and have a strong desire to learn and progress (motivated enough to self learn)
  • Ability to pick up new technology independently
  • Must have good organization and planning skills – capable of managing own workload
  • Be able to work under pressure and multi-task while remaining professional and courteous
  • Ability to analyze requirements / problems and to propose innovative but workable solutions
  • Team player
  • Open minded, flexible, and willing to listen for other people’s opinions
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate over the phone, Skype and via email with a variety of individuals at all technical levels are required
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Financial Services domain experience a plus
