Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role located in Delta, BC. The Pharmacist will dispense and verify prescriptions, ensure accurate dosage and labeling, and review patient medication profiles for interactions and contraindications. Daily responsibilities include counseling patients on proper medication use, side effects, and adherence, while maintaining clear documentation in pharmacy systems. The role involves collaborating with prescribers and other healthcare professionals, managing inventory and controlled substances in line with regulations, and supporting quality and safety initiatives, including compliance with provincial pharmacy standards. The position is from Tuesday to Saturday.
Qualifications
Current pharmacist licensure in British Columbia (or eligibility to obtain), with good standing and knowledge of provincial pharmacy regulations. Proficiency in clinical pharmacy practice, including prescription verification, drug interaction review, and evidence-based therapeutic recommendations. Strong patient counseling and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medication information in a clear, compassionate manner. Experience with pharmacy management systems, prescription processing software, and accurate documentation practices. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols for dispensing, storing, and handling medications, including controlled substances. Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple prescriptions, clinical tasks, and patient interactions efficiently. Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, with hospital or community pharmacy experience considered an asset. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with clinical guidelines, new therapies, and best practices. Fluent in Punjabi Comfort supporting diverse patient populations and maintaining an inclusive, respectful environment for patients and colleagues.
