Combustex Burner Ignition & Controls Systems has been providing the oil and gas industry with innovative burner ignition and controls systems for more than a decade. Our vision is to lead the evolution of combustion safety and control technology by emphasizing quality, value and service. We are currently seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at our head office in Red Deer, Alberta.

What You Will Do
- Design and develop electronic control systems for combustion and safety applications.
- Develop embedded firmware and software to support system functionality.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and support materials.
- Design and produce PCB drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Assemble and test electronic prototypes to validate designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete product design and ensure project success.
- Participate in project start-up meetings and contribute to planning and scheduling activities.
- Be involved in the certification of new products, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design or performance issues through hands-on problem solving.
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA, or eligibility for registration.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in electrical or electronic design.
- Background in the oil and gas industry, with experience in burner ignition or control systems considered an asset.
