Collins aerospace is looking to hire Process Technician – Nital Etch; In this position you will be reporting to the Afternoon shift Plating & Processing Supervisor. As the Process Technician – Nital Etch, you will be responsible for maintaining demand for production requirements.
Work Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario - Canada Shift Hours – Weekday Afternoon (5x8) - Monday – Friday (2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.) What You Will Do
- Etching of aircraft components during the manufacturing process.
- Read OP sketches and work instructions to identify with requirements.
- Maintain acceptable production, quality levels, and departmental equipment, as well as practice safety in the workplace and maintain good housekeeping.
- Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.
- Ability to load and unload the ovens as required.
- Multi-task and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications We Require:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent plating/processing experience.
- Typically 2 years of related manufacturing experience.
- The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to work well in a team.
- Experience in material handling and hoist operations required.
- Demonstrated ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Experience with Nital etching.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner.
